Guru introduces the limited edition Mumbai Beaded Bamboo Tunic

Guru, the eco-friendly fashion line, just introduced a new line of organic bamboo tunics. The beadwork of glass and metal beads is all done by hand.

Bamboo is said to be more sustainable than many other textiles. The bamboo plant grows quickly and does not require pesticides or herbicides to thrive.

Because of bamboo's ability to absorb moisture quickly, the fabric can reduce the accumulation of bacteria, as well as the bacterial odor common on clothes.

Its texture and tightness is similar to cotton: strong, yet soft and light. Bamboo is typical for everyday yet it can be versatile enough for a more formal occasion. With Guru's finely detailed beadwork, the Mumbai Tunic can be dressed up with a nice pair of black pants as well as dressed down with a pair of denim jeans. The Mumbai Tunic is available in sizes XS-XL and in 6 colors.

Get in touch with the fabric of tomorrow: the Mumbai Tunic ($175) is available at Guru's booth (D09) in the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park, which is adjacent to the fountain.
